What's the advantages of newest open-end zipper injection machines?

It's already more than 3 years since the first time we produced the newest open-end zipper injection machine production line. But still, not so many customers understand why we produce such line and why it can help to improve capacity compared to the traditional production line.

Traditional open-end zipper injection line steps:

gapping → film welding → hole punching → slider mounting on single side zipper → pin-box and top stop injection (with slider) → zipper joining → cutting

New open-end zipper injection line steps:

gapping → film welding → hole punching → pin-box injection (without slider) → zipper joining → slider mounting → top stop injection → cutting

Trace to the source: The idea of new line was from CMZ China. At that time they received a large order for nylon zippers (spiral zippers) with injection molded top stops and pin-box. Their open-end zipper injection machines were frequently shut down during production, making their production capacity much lower than expectation.

Why happened: Our technicians discovered that the problem was caused by the slider. The traditional line injects the zippers with slider(as steps above). Sliders on single-sided nylon zipper can easily move as the zipper passes through the machine, causing the slider to be dragged underneath the injection mold. This way the machine will sense an abnormality in the mold and stop automatically.

How to solve: During the pin-box injections, the zipper must be separated, so the slider on single sided is easily moved. This makes it necessary to separate pin-box injection and top stop injection. Furthermore, zipper joining without slider runs much more stably. In this way, the steps of the open-end injection production line are the same as those of the normal zipper production line.

After using the new line, CMZ was really satisfied because the production capacity had improved a lot.

From the whole steps, maybe it's more investment for extra injection machines, but in the long run the new line help to achieve high production capacity and get more profit.
